The Mount Abraham Unified School District (MAUSD) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Interventionist to join our educational team at Bristol Elementary School.
The Mathematics Interventionist is a key member of the district’s Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), working to ensure academic success for every student. This role focuses on planning, implementing, and monitoring math interventions within the elementary school setting.
The Mathematics Interventionist collaborates closely with classroom teachers and instructional coaches and coordinators. As a licensed educator, the interventionist applies strong content knowledge and instructional expertise to provide supplemental, research-based support tailored to diverse student needs. A strong foundation in progress monitoring and data analysis is essential to this role.
Primary Responsibilities
Implementation of Interventions
• Support the implementation and progress monitoring of high-quality math interventions within an MTSS framework
• Collaborate with math specialists to review, maintain, and evaluate assessment data, ensuring consistent practices across the district
• Align all work with MAUSD’s framework and priorities for effective mathematics instruction
• Support the implementation of universally designed tools and resources aligned with the Common Core State Standards and college and career readiness
• Facilitate data-driven decision-making and use appropriate tools to monitor student progress
• Collaborate with educators to embed intervention strategies within Tier 1 instruction to close achievement gaps
Professional Responsibilities
• Deliver research-based, equitable, and effective small-group math instruction
• Partner with teachers and instructional coaches to strengthen alignment between core instruction and intervention strategies
• Lead and contribute to data-driven discussions with teachers, administrators, and teams to analyze trends and improve instructional systems
• Participate in school-based and district cross-functional teams
• Engage in ongoing professional learning to stay current with best practices, instructional strategies, and math resources
The salary range $57,242 - $108,246 is commensurate with experience and in accordance with the Mount Abraham Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
