What are the responsibilities and job description for the JV Wrestling Coach position at Bristol County Agricultural High School?
JOB DESCRIPTION
Experience:
Wrestling coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level most desirable. Competitive wrestling experience at the high school and/or collegiate level will also be considered. General coaching experience will be considered.
Skills:
Organizational management.
Knowledge and understanding of wrestling.
Unusual Work Hours:
Early release time for afternoon events. Saturday and weekend tournaments.
After Hour Responsibilities:
Attendance at all scheduled practices and events.
Attendance at league coaches’ meetings or special events.
Ascertain that students have arranged transportation home after events when none is provided by the school.
General Responsibilities:
Requisition of supplies and equipment.
Supervise and instruct student-athletes at practice and all events home and away.
Maintain, distribute, and collect uniforms and equipment.
Verify student-athlete eligibility.
Coordinate practice and non-league competition schedules.
Supervision Exercised:
Supervision over junior varsity wrestlers.
Supervision Received:
Works under direct supervision of the Head Wrestling Coach.
Compensation:
As per contractual agreement between Bristol County Board of Trustees and the Segreganset Teachers Union.
