Essential Duties & Responsibilities

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.

- Ensure that work areas are clean, safe, and ready for construction activities. By removing debris, hazards, and obstacles to create a suitable environment.
- Handle tools, raw materials, and equipment.
- Load and unload items as needed for construction tasks.
- Digging, Compacting Earth, and Backfilling Holes by performing manual labor, including digging trenches, filling pits, compact soil and backfill excavated areas.
- Operate construction off road vehicles
- Follow safety protocols while using equipment.
- Laborers take direction from supervisors and follow construction plans.
- Assist heavy equipment operator and other skilled workers.
- Assists in creating a positive and safe work environment.
- Complete assigned training in a timely fashion.
- Be coachable and learn from team members.
- Complete assigned training in a timely fashion.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license a plus

- Knowledge of standard hand and power tools and how to use them safely and correctly.
- Basic construction experience.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Basic carpentry skills.
- Able to relay and receive information from field management needed for the current project/task.
