Monday - Friday 7:30am – 3:00 - 37.5 hours
Bristol Adult Resource Center (BARC) is a private, non-profit organization supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Food Service Manager for our Hidden Café restaurant.
The ideal candidate requires a strong background in restaurant management and food service, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, overseeing kitchen staff and our individuals who work in the restaurant while providing exceptional dining experience for our patrons.
Requirements:Minimum Requirements:
- Two years management experience.
- Food Service experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least age 18.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations ensuring food is prepared according to the menu and presentation standards while complying with all food safety regulations.
- Supervise staff, scheduling for adequate coverage, responsible for hiring, training and performance evaluations.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Address any inquiries or complaints from staff or customers promptly and professionally.
- Provide opportunities for learning new skills and independence by working on individuals’ goals and plans.
- Participate in various meetings, programmatic and business meetings.
- Provide safe and nurturing environment where Individuals are treated with dignity and respect, can exercise their rights and responsibilities and are protected from abuse or neglect.
- Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings (in person and online).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Proven ability in food service and restaurant operations.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group.
- Familiar with food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Physical Efforts:
- May include extended periods of standing or walking in a food service environment.
- Positions may require the ability to independently lift at least 50 pounds.
