The Sales Support Manager leads a team of 7 Sales Support Associates responsible for order entry, customer support, order management, and administrative support for the sales organization. The Sales Support Manager is integral in ensuring orders are entered accurately and on time, customers receive exceptional service, and the team consistently meets service-level expectations while driving process improvements across the order-to-cash cycle. This role oversees order processing workflows, customer issue resolution, and daily sales support operations.
- 7 Sales Support Associates
- Lead, coach, and develop the Sales and Customer Care team through regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and training.
- Ensure accurate and timely order entry in the ERP.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for:
- Order entry accuracy
- Orders entered within SLA
- Email response time
- Customer satisfaction
- Open order backlog
- Act as the escalation point for complex customer issues.
- Partner with Sales, Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Accounting to resolve order issues.
- Develop standardized procedures and continuously improve workflows.
- Ensure items, decorations, pricing, shipping information, lead times, and customer-specific requirements are entered correctly.
- Monitor workload and assign resources based on order volume.
- Analyze recurring customer issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation and SOPs.
- Participate in ERP improvements and testing.
- Produce weekly operational reports for leadership.
- 5 years in customer service, inside sales, or sales support.
- 2 years managing a customer service or order entry team.
- ERP experience
- Strong reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in apparel, manufacturing, promotional products, or distribution is highly preferred.
- ≥99.5% order entry accuracy
- 95% of orders entered same day
