JOB DETAILS
Job Title:Pharmacy Technician
Local independent pharmacy seeking qualified pharmacy technician for full time position. Must be friendly and have customer oriented attitude; we hold customer service standards to the highest degree.
Job Duties:
1. Welcome customers upon their arrival and make every attempt to assist them promptly.
2. Assist pharmacy staff with order entry, filling prescriptions and customer checkout.
3. Follow all company policies and procedures.
4. Assist in maintaining both over the counter and prescription inventories.
5. Help to maintain all pharmacy supplies as well as daily cleaning to ensure a safe and sterile work area.
6. Ensure all pharmacy records, reports and files are maintained in an organized professional manner.
7. Perform any other duties as assigned by pharmacist or senior staff.
Requirements:
•Ability and desire to communicate effectively with patients, employees and other healthcare professionals and make them feel welcome in store.
•Willingness to work a flexible schedule when needed.
•Must be able to read, write and perform basic math functions.
•Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
•Understand pharmacy inventory control procedures, including special requirements for controlled substances.
