Responsibilities
- Conduct wheel alignment procedures on a variety of vehicles, including standard passenger cars and heavy-duty trucks, utilizing advanced alignment equipment.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to diagnose electrical and electronic system issues accurately.
- Utilize automotive diagnostic tools and software to identify engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical system faults.
- Perform repairs on automotive engine systems, including diesel engines and powertrain components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), sensors, and wiring harnesses.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical repair techniques to replace or repair vehicle components efficiently.
- Assist in vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, and mechanical inspections to support overall vehicle health.
- Heavy lifting and manual handling are required for parts replacement and system repairs while maintaining safety standards.
- Interpret automotive service manuals and schematics to guide repair procedures accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the work performed.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working on various vehicle makes and models.
- Strong knowledge of automotive engine technology, electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Experience with ADAS calibration, automotive wiring diagram interpretation, and diagnostic tools is highly desirable.
- Skilled in mechanical repair techniques using hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive equipment.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus but not required.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot complex vehicle systems effectively.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely during repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude.
