Join our dental team as a Front Desk Receptionist! You will be the first point of contact for our patients and play an important role in creating a welcoming, organized, and positive experience. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, managing phone calls, and supporting the daily tasks of the front office. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a smooth and welcoming check-in and check-out experience.
- Schedule and confirm appointments accurately using Dentrix Ascend.
- Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage before patient appointments.
- Answer and manage multi-line phone calls professionally while responding promptly to patient questions and concerns.
- Review patient forms and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information.
- Present treatment plans, collect payments, and assist with billing using CDT codes.
- Maintain organized patient records while following HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
- Send appointment reminders and complete follow-up calls as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team to support an efficient daily schedule.
- Assist with general front-office and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous dental front desk or dental administrative experience is required(1-2 of years experience).
- Experience with Dentrix Ascend or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
- Knowledge of dental insurance verification, eligibility, benefits, claims, and billing procedures.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and CDT codes.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic patient records.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and professional phone etiquette.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and remain professional in a busy dental office.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to protect confidential patient information and follow HIPAA requirements.
