Director of Quality and Compliance

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Product Quality and Compliance Manager to join our team. This individual will lead Brio’s quality and compliance initiatives across all product lines, ensuring every product meets global standards and certifications. The role oversees the entire product quality lifecycle—from prototype evaluation and certification testing to vendor auditing and post-market performance—ensuring Brio products consistently meet the highest levels of reliability, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Brio’s product quality and compliance programs across all product lines to ensure global standards are met.
• Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance frameworks and certification strategies, including NSF, ETL, DOE, and UL compliance.
• Conduct and oversee vendor quality audits in China, Southeast Asia, and other regions, ensuring supplier performance meets Brio’s standards.
• Direct the implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management systems.
• Collaborate with Product Development and Engineering teams to test and validate prototypes before production.
• Manage third-party certification processes and ensure proper documentation and tracking of all compliance activities.
• Lead the investigation and resolution of vendor quality issues, establishing corrective and preventive action plans.
• Use data-driven approaches to monitor product quality trends, reduce defects, and ensure consistent manufacturing output.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 7 years of experience in product quality assurance, compliance, or regulatory affairs within manufacturing or consumer products.
• Proven experience leading quality and compliance for consumer appliances, filtration systems, or related products.
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendor quality audits in Asia and coordinate multi-site manufacturing quality systems.
• Strong understanding of NSF, ETL, DOE, and UL certification processes.
• Experience leading teams implementing ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on continuous improvement.

Preferred (Bonus Skills):

• Experience in water treatment, filtration systems, or appliance manufacturing.
• Familiarity with e-commerce product packaging and shipping stability (ISTA testing).
• Working knowledge of global regulatory frameworks beyond North America.
