As a Medication Technician, youβll play a vital role in providing essential daily care to older adults, ensuring their well-being, dignity, and comfort. ποΈ Primary Responsibilities
π Provide Compassionate Care: Assist residents with daily personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
π Keep Things Cozy: Help maintain a clean and comfortable living space by doing laundry, changing bed linens, and tidying rooms.
π½ Support Mealtime Needs: Serve meals according to dietary guidelines while ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
π£ Engage & Connect: Build meaningful relationships with residents, interact professionally with families and team members, and lead fun group activities.
πΆββοΈ Encourage Mobility & Independence: Safely transfer, lift, and position residents while assisting with transportation to appointments and activities.
π Monitor & Advocate: Follow resident service plans, track vital signs, and report any changes in resident conditions to ensure the highest level of care.

β What Youβll Need
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical assisting or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting, especially working with seniors or in long-term care, is highly preferred.
- Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds independently.
- Technical skills: Familiarity with Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) systems is a plus.
- Medication administration: At least one year of experience administering medications in a healthcare setting is preferred.
