Job Summary
The To-go Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders accurately and efficiently. This position involves preparing take-out orders, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a positive dining experience for guests who choose to dine off-premises. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a background in food service or hospitality.
Duties
- Prepare and package food orders for take-out while ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the to-go area, including equipment and supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing their needs promptly.
- Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS) to process orders efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely order preparation.
- Handle phone orders with professionalism, demonstrating strong phone etiquette.
- Assist in managing guest relations by resolving any issues or concerns regarding their orders.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
Skills
- Previous experience as a host/host or in a restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with POS systems, specifically Aloha POS is advantageous.
- Experience in hospitality or hotel services is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with guests and provide exceptional guest services.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
