Brinton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll work closely with the Occupational Therapist to help residents regain independence, improve functional abilities, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.

• Assist residents in improving daily living skills, mobility, strength, coordination, and functional independence.

• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

• Accurately document treatments, progress notes, and resident responses.

• Educate residents and their families on therapy techniques and home exercise programs, as appropriate.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care.

• Maintain compliance with all facility policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Foster a safe, positive, and encouraging therapy environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Pennsylvania.

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.

• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
