- Assist customers in locating and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories, providing expert advice on product features and compatibility
- Manage inventory levels through accurate stock control, order fulfillment, and restocking to ensure availability of high-demand items
- Process sales transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handling cash, credit, and electronic payments with professionalism
- Collaborate with the service department to identify parts needed for vehicle repairs and maintenance, supporting automotive diagnostics and repair processes
- Maintain organized storage of parts using inventory management systems to track stock levels and reorder supplies proactively
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the parts department area, stocking shelves accurately and conducting regular inventory audits
Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and automotive repair procedures
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service excellence
- Proficiency in inventory management software like CDK and Microsoft Excel for tracking stock levels and order processing
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Experience with retail sales management, POS systems, cashiering, and retail math for accurate transaction handling
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels efficiently and maintain a tidy work environment
- Negotiation skills for upselling parts or accessories while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with dealership experience, automotive service processes, and marketing strategies enhances your effectiveness in this role
