Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for milling operations, ensuring high-quality production and efficient machining processes. Strong programming experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and edit CNC programs for milling machines using CAM software and/or manual G-code programming
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements
- Set up and optimize machining processes for efficiency, accuracy, and tool life
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to ensure product specifications are met
- Perform program troubleshooting and make adjustments as needed during production
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials
- Maintain documentation of programs, setups, and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Milling Programmer (required)
- Strong knowledge of G-code programming and CNC milling operations
- Experience with Mastercam
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Familiarity with tooling, fixturing, and machining processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-axis (3, 4, or 5-axis) milling
- Background in a manufacturing or precision machining environment
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
Work Environment:
- Shop floor and office setting
