Job Title Business Development Manager – Precious Metals Job Description Brink’s Global Services U.S., a division of Brink’s, Incorporated, is the premier provider of precious Metals, diamonds and jewelry, armored car transportation, and other value-added services to retailers, financial institutions, and other commercial and government entities. Job Summary: This position reports to the Senior Director Commercial and will be responsible for day-to-day sales and business development function of the Precious Metals line of business for Brink’s Global Services US. This position requires up to 50% travel to facilities throughout the United States to work on the development of new business and servicing of existing clients. This position is based at our NYC office located at 580 Fifth Avenue, however most work will be conducted in the field. Key Responsibilities: Travel nationwide - up to 50% - on a regular basis to meet new / existing Precious Metals clients. Take customer orders, execute them to the highest service standards and to the full satisfaction of our customers. Answer rate requests and follow up on offers submitted to clients and other Brink’s stations. Ensure correct billing/costing of jobs executed. Support the Precious Metals Customer Service Team in all matters related to the business. Adherence to local, national, and international legislation and procedures (Customs, VAT, Money laundering etc.). Build, foster and manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors within the region. Ensure execution of Import/Export jobs are done according to Brink’s procedures and the systems are used properly. Apply strict control on direct and indirect costs related to the jobs executed. Monitor deals and agreements with customers, affiliates, and subcontractors, ensuring adequate margins, compliance with company procedures. Prioritize areas of growth and developments Communicate on a day-to-day basis to the key customers on actual shipments with a proactive approach and a solution driven attitude Communicate with affiliates worldwide regarding opportunities with common international clients Experience in freight forwarding / logistics industry in a customer facing senior business development role Experience being part of a cross departmental management team to collaborate for the company as a whole. Minimum Qualifications: Proven record of accomplishment gained over several years in sales and/or business development - Logistics Sales background will be advantage. More than 5 years of experience in meeting or exceeding business goals, including revenue targets, etc. in similar business or with similar business dynamics, i.e., managing and developing senior relationships, managing multiple functions, departments, and opportunities. Experience in managing the finances associated with an (LOB) line of businesses. Strong Operational background experience Proven experience developing and implementing solutions for customers Preferred Qualifications: B.A. or equivalent degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. Experience in airside/ shipping operations is a plus. Experience in import/ export operations and customs is a plus. Excellent track-record in developing profitable and successful operations. Experience within a fast paced, competitive, blue chip/ corporate quality aware environment. Evidence of successful career progression. Professional Skills: Possess a strong client facing presence and the knowledge to contribute effectively to successful proposal creation. Intermediate level experience with Excel and project planning software (MS Project, MS Office, and Visio). Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills Strong time management skills Skilled in working cross culturally, in developing relationships with stakeholders regionally and globally Excellent marketing, sales, and customer service skills Ambitious, enthusiastic, and well-motivated with a strong work ethic Fast paced, high energy level and able to handle multiple priorities A confident, assertive ‘doer’ Not frightened to challenge and to tackle issues Commercially and financially aware Adapts quickly to change Highly credible and professional, both internally and externally If you have the background and integrity we require and are looking for a challenging opportunity, we hope you will consider employment with Brink’s Global Services.
