About This Role
You will play a vital role in supporting multiple classrooms (Infant, Toddler, and Preschool), ensuring operational efficiency while providing consistent care, supervision, and support across the center.
What You'll Do
- Provide classroom support across all age groups to ensure seamless daily operations and ratio compliance
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized learning environment in accordance with health, safety, and licensing standards
- Execute facility upkeep tasks, including but not limited to:
- Dishwashing and sanitation of bottles, utensils, and classroom materials
- Routine cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces, toys, and common areas
- Waste management, including timely removal of trash and maintaining cleanliness of disposal areas
- Assist with meal preparation and snack service, ensuring adherence to nutritional guidelines and food safety protocols
- Support teachers with classroom transitions, activities, and behavioral guidance
- Ensure continuous supervision and engagement of children to promote safety and developmental growth
- Collaborate with team members to uphold center standards, policies, and daily operational flow
Requirements
- Previous childcare experience preferred (but not required)
- Must be able to meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
- CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass background check
