Brilliant Minds Christian Academy of Technology is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and faith-driven Math Teacher to join our team. The Math Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ theoretical and applied mathematical skills while fostering a love of learning. This role also requires creating a safe, respectful, and stimulating classroom environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons for high-achieving students while supporting a range of learning abilities.
- Develop and implement detailed weekly lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and the school’s educational goals.
- Integrate Christian values, character development, and biblical principles into daily instruction and classroom interactions.
- Serve as a positive Christian role model, demonstrating leadership, integrity, kindness, and respect in the classroom and school community.
- Assign and evaluate homework, quizzes, and classroom assignments while providing constructive feedback.
- Track, document, and report students’ academic progress using appropriate assessment tools.
- Utilize small-group instruction across subjects to provide intervention, enrichment, and differentiated learning opportunities.
- Develop and implement whole-class lesson plans emphasizing literacy development, reading comprehension, and cross-curricular learning.
- Demonstrate the ability to teach communication and problem-solving skills in a supportive and positive classroom environment using appropriate discipline strategies.
- Implement engaging literacy instruction using guided reading strategies, including running records and tiered intervention.
- Coordinate lessons within an inclusive learning environment, supporting students with varying needs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Formulate and implement appropriate IEP goals while using effective assessment techniques to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
- Instruct foundational literacy skills including letter recognition, phonics, phonemic awareness, and comprehension, along with key mathematical concepts.
- Support and implement reading programs that focus on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary development, and comprehension.
- Foster strong communication with parents and school administration regarding student progress, classroom activities, and academic support.
- Maintain a structured, respectful, and faith-centered classroom environment that promotes academic excellence and character development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
