Job Title: Accounting SpecialistLocation: Batavia, IL Pay Range: $60-65kBenefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) Role Overview: Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for an Accounting Specialist. Our client located in Warrenville, IL is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their team on a Direct Hire basis. They are seeking an individual that has 2 years of general accounting experience, is comfortable with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, and ideally has experience in the manufacturing industry. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately!Responsibilities:Organize and process financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial filing systems.Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, monitoring accounts, and following up on collections.Handle accounts payable tasks: verify and process invoices, prepare payment proposals for approval, execute payments, and track account status.Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules; ensure accurate recording of new purchases and disposals.Participate in month-end and year-end closings, including account reconciliations and preparation of reporting packages.Collaborate with Supply Chain and Customer Service teams to maintain accurate customer and vendor master data.Support banking, customer, and vendor interactions as required within the scope of the role.Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, safety, and security requirements in financial and tax operations.Perform general administrative and filing tasks.Undertake other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years’ experience in general accounting.Proficient with Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.Knowledge of ERP and accounting systems.Brilliant Staffing, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applications from all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.Company DescriptionBrilliant is an award-winning direct-hire, contract and consulting practice specializing in accounting, finance and technology for the Midwest and Southeast regions of the U.S. Many of Brilliant’s team members include former accounting, finance and technology professionals who are experts in the fields.
