Briljent is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a state health department project focused on improving healthcare services for children with significant physical, behavioral, developmental, and/or social care needs—such as children with medical complexity or those in foster care. This initiative is part of a broader Medicaid Redesign effort that includes planning, implementation, and strategic support for program improvement. The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in planning, coordination, analysis, and documentation activities, helping drive deliverables from concept to completion. This position requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to translate direction into clear, actionable work products.

- This role may require travel to Albany, NY once or twice a month depending on current needs*
- Prepare, document, and distribute meeting minutes and action items for stakeholder and project meetings.
- Develop and refine meeting materials such as agendas, presentations, and status updates.
- Create strategic deliverables and materials, including written analyses and reports aligned with project objectives.
- Conduct data analysis, gather insights, and summarize findings to support program design and decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Identify project risks, troubleshoot challenges, and escalate issues as needed.
- Manage assigned tasks independently while ensuring quality and consistency in outputs.
- Support ongoing project management activities, including scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
- Senior Associate (5–7 years of experience as a consultant or in an equivalent role; 7–10 years preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word), with advanced PowerPoint skills preferred.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into concise, actionable materials.
- Solid analytical skills to interpret data and develop strategic insights.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Effective problem-solving skills and adaptability in situations with ambiguity.
- (Preferred) Familiarity with Medicaid programs or healthcare policy initiatives.
- (Preferred) Experience working with or within government agencies.
- (Preferred) Knowledge of children’s healthcare, child welfare, or related social service policy areas.
