Hours: 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of collections experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years of age
Responsibilities:
As a Collections Agent at Brightview Federal Credit Union, you will work closely with our members to assist in managing their financial obligations effectively. Your responsibilities will encompass:
Contacting delinquent members to discuss overdue accounts
Developing repayment solutions and negotiating payment arrangements
Maintaining accurate records of collection activities
Adhering to all legal and regulatory guidelines
Updating member accounts and ensuring data accuracy
Collaborating with internal teams to resolve member inquiries and issues
Providing exceptional member service with empathy and professionalism
Evaluating members' financial situations to determine appropriate solutions
Analyzing credit histories and making informed recommendations
Recommending loan modifications or other financial solutions
Providing detailed explanations of payment options to members
Monitoring payment plans and following up as necessary
Assisting in the recovery of collateral, if required
Utilizing communication skills to negotiate and persuade
Documenting all communication and actions taken
Providing timely and accurate reports to supervisors
Participating in training sessions to stay updated on regulations
Collaborating with legal and compliance teams when necessary
Identifying trends and suggesting process improvements
Achieving monthly collection targets
Ensuring confidentiality and data security
Participating in team meetings and sharing insights
Continuously improving knowledge of collection practices
Representing the credit union with integrity and professionalism
Contributing to a positive team environment
Backing up teller line - with a drawer as needed
Skills and Knowledge:
To excel in this role, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Understanding of collection regulations and practices
Empathy and patience when dealing with members in financial distress
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work well independently and within a team
Proficiency in relevant computer software and applications
Training Location:
Successful candidates will undergo training at our corporate office located at 713 S Pear Orchard Rd, Suite 101, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
