Job Overview:
Brightsy Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Outpatient Therapist to join our growing team. This role involves working with diverse populations—children, adolescents, and adults—providing high-quality therapeutic services in an in-person format. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals with mental health needs and developmental disabilities, as well as a passion for serving underserved communities.
We are specifically recruiting for therapists located in or able to serve clients in the following central and northern Miami-Dade areas:
Little Havana, Hialeah, Allapattah, Wynwood, Overtown, Liberty City, Brownsville, Miami Shores, North Miami, West Little River, Miami Gardens, Opa-Locka and surrounding neighborhoods.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions tailored to client needs
- Create and implement evidence-based treatment plans aligned with assessment outcomes
- Support clients with behavioral challenges and developmental disabilities using positive behavior strategies
- Provide telehealth services when appropriate, maintaining engagement and therapeutic effectiveness virtually
- Conduct crisis intervention and safety planning when necessary
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation, progress notes, and treatment updates
- Collaborate with case managers, schools, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care
- Offer support in special education settings for children requiring school-based interventions
- Integrate chronic pain management counseling strategies when relevant
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Active Florida licensure (RMHCI, RCSWI, LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) or working toward licensure preferred
- Direct experience with developmental disabilities and/or special education systems is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with behavior management and crisis intervention techniques
- Experience with telehealth platforms and documentation systems
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required for this position
