The Position
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented District Manager to lead and directly oversee a district of vibrant Manufactured Housing Communities (MHC) within our brightSTAR Communities portfolio. As the go-to expert for your assigned district, you will be responsible for personally managing and cultivating thriving resident experiences across multiple communities, ensuring financial success, and maintaining well-kept properties. Your mastery of community building, financial management, and property upkeep will be essential in creating welcoming and sustainable living environments for our valued residents. This role requires a hands-on approach to drive performance and implement best practices across your district.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Proactively manage financial performance through meticulous analysis of reports, budgets, and variances, implementing strategies to optimize revenue, control expenses, and aggressively keeping delinquency low, ensuring the financial health and profitability of the organization.
- Compliance: Ensure all properties adhere to applicable housing regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Marketing & Sales: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and sales strategies to attract and retain residents. This includes managing advertising campaigns, conducting market research, overseeing property tours and open houses, and closing lease agreements.
- Community Partnerships: Establish and maintain partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and government agencies to provide resources and services that enhance residents' quality of life.
- Community Building: Foster a sense of community and belonging within each property, organizing events, activities, and programs that promote resident engagement and well-being.
- Resident Relations: Build strong relationships with residents, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally. Implement resident feedback mechanisms and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Property Performance: Oversee the day-to-day operations of your communities, ensuring they meet financial goals and performance targets.
- Maintenance Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance technicians, ensuring efficient and timely completion of work orders and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications
· A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property management, hospitality, or a related field.
· Demonstrated success in rent collection, minimizing delinquency, and enforcing community policies fairly and consistently.
· Proven track record of building strong communities and exceeding customer expectations.
· Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
· Proven ability to drive occupancy through effective marketing and leasing strategies.
· Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Rent Manager, Avid and other relevant technologies).
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between properties.
