Pediatric RN Home Health $65 Hourly "Saturday and Sunday PM" Only

BrightStar Care is a locally owned, independently female-owned company dedicated to delivering exceptional home health services. As we continue to grow rapidly across all areas of home health, we are seeking compassionate and motivated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our expanding team.

BrightStar Care is seeking 1-2 compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join a specialized pediatric home care team caring for a 9-month-old infant who was discharged August 4th and is thriving at her home in Arroyo Grande Heights.

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a family's life while gaining valuable pediatric Astral 150 ventilator and tracheostomy care experience.

Position Details

• Pay: $65/hour
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts 3p to 11p. Saturdays & Sundays ONLY
• Setting: One-on-one care in the infant's home in Arroyo Grande Heights
• Training: Hands-on, training provided by the parents in their home

Responsibilities:

• Continuous airway monitoring of an infant on an Astral 150 ventilator
• Vital signs and cardiopulmonary monitoring
• Suctioning tracheostomy secretions
• General tracheostomy care
• Management of enteral feedings via G-tube
• Providing skilled, compassionate nursing care in a home environment
• Case will be ongoing as the baby requires a ventilator for upto two-years

Registered Nurse/RN Job Duties include:

• Perform care as defined by client’s individual Plan of Care and within scope of state’s nurse practice act
• Monitor patient’s condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes
• Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill
• Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
• Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs
• Work under and supported by our Director of Nursing

Position Requirements

Registered Nurse / RN Job Requirements include:

• Current and unrestricted RN license in California
• 1 year experience on your license, or new NICU Graduates
• Proof of eligibility to work in the US
• Reliable car/auto insurance
• Clean background and criminal record
• Current CPR/BLS/PALS--Must have all three
• TB/Chest X-ray on record

Experienced preferred: Pediatric, Vent/Trach, G-Tube feeding, NICU experience
