Position Overview

BrightStar Care of Omaha is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for 12-hour shifts.

We are open to hiring one nurse for a full schedule or separate nurses for individual shift packages:

• Option A (The Weekend Night Package): FridaySaturday | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (24 hours/week)

• Option B (The Day Shift Package): TuesdaySunday | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (24 hours/week)

This position offers the opportunity to provide one-on-one skilled care in the home, ensuring clients receive the highest quality of support and comfort throughout the night. We are hiring immediately for these weekend overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct skilled nursing care to clients in their homes according to the plan of care established by the Director of Nursing

• Perform and monitor ostomy and colostomy care with accuracy and professionalism

• Assess and record client conditions, reporting any changes promptly to the BrightStar Care clinical team

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

• Provide client and family education to support independence and ongoing health needs

• Deliver care with compassion, respect, and a commitment to excellence

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN license in the State of Nebraska (in good standing)

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred

• Ostomy and colostomy care experience required

• Flu vaccination required for all field staff

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

• Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented
