Responsibilities
As a caregiver with BrightStar Care, you will:
- Assist clients with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Accompany clients to appointments, grocery stores, and pharmacies.
- Help with active and passive mobility exercises as outlined in the care plan.
- Document any observed changes in the client’s condition and report them to the Director of Nursing.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance(recommended), and reliable transportation.
- The ability to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Completed mandatory CEUs (continuing education units) – provided at no cost.
- A negative drug screen and clean background check.
- The physical ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull, as well as lift up to 50 pounds.
While the COVID-19 vaccine is encouraged, it is not mandated.
