BrightStar Care is looking to add Registered Nurses to our team to work as hospice nurses in the Miami/North Miami areas! We are seeking compassionate individuals to support patients and their families as a hospice nurse on our team. Responsibilities
- Monitor patient conditions and assess needs to deliver optimal care and advice
- Perform routine procedures (e.g., blood pressure checks, administering injections) and maintain patient records
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders
- Provide immediate medical care in emergencies
- Create a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license
- AHCA Level 2 fingerprinting clearance
- Physical examination completed within the past six months
- Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest X-ray
- Minimum of one (1) year documented experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility
- Previous hospice experience preferred (we will train)
- Previous experience with hospice nursing is preferred
- Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
- Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays
- Reliable transportation
- Physical ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed, based on client mobility
