Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Payroll/Scheduling Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage payroll processing, coordinate staff schedules, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. Your efforts will directly support our mission to provide exceptional care by maintaining accurate payroll records and efficient scheduling practices.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently using systems such as Workday, Paychex, or ADP, ensuring timely payments for all employees.
- Manage employee scheduling to optimize staffing levels while adhering to labor law compliance and company policies.
- Maintain and update payroll and scheduling data within HRIS (Human Resource Information System) platforms like UltiPro or PeopleSoft.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for general ledger accounting using accounting software such as QuickBooks or governmental accounting systems.
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive employee information while handling payroll data entry and benefits administration.
- Monitor time & attendance systems like Kronos or Ceridian to track hours worked, leave requests, and overtime accurately.
- Stay informed about employment & labor law updates to ensure ongoing compliance across all payroll and scheduling processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience with payroll management systems including Workday, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, or UltiPro.
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles, payroll processing, tax law, and labor law compliance.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, accounting software such as QuickBooks, and HRIS platforms.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to perform account reconciliation and double entry bookkeeping.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail with proficiency in 10-key typing and data entry accuracy.
- Experience working within non-profit or governmental accounting environments is a plus.
- Must be able to accept ON CALL every other week
