Human Resources Manager Benefits

Human Resources & Compliance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and regulatory requirements, ensuring HR policies and reporting are fully compliant
- Maintain accurate, organized records related to benefits, personnel files, onboarding, performance reviews, and separations
- Administer benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and leave programs
- Conduct and document employee investigations, including safety incidents and workplace concerns
- Prepare separation notices, conduct exit interviews, and track feedback trends to strengthen retention
- Develop and execute a proactive recruiting strategy to attract high-quality Caregivers, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Physical Therapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and office staff personnel
- Source active and passive candidates through job boards, networking, community partnerships, and local outreach
- Conduct prescreens, interviews, reference checks, background checks and hiring decisions
- Maintain accurate, timely data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Attend local career fairs, college recruiting events, and industry networking events to build the talent pipeline
- Lead new hire orientation and onboarding to ensure a smooth integration and alignment with BrightStar Care values
- Coach managers on interviewing, performance management, safety, and HR processes
- Support employee relations with professionalism, fairness, and a solutions-focused approach
- Communicate regularly with field staff and office team members to build trust, promote engagement, and ensure high morale
- Partner with leadership on retention initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communication
- Help maintain our reputation as an Employer of Choice in the home care and healthcare communities
- Build external relationships to strengthen brand awareness and attract talent
- Support continuous improvement efforts to make our agency a great place to work and a great partner for our clients
- A bachelor’s degree is required, or equivalent experience with a high school diploma
- 3-5 years of Human Resources experience, including at least 1-2 years of recruiting
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to analyze information, identify trends, and recommend solutions
- Comfort managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Computer proficiency, including HR systems and databases
- Ability to travel locally for recruitment events, college visits, meetings, and career fairs, and maintain a flexible work schedule.
- Must be able to work in person at our office located in Pewaukee, WI
