Job Summary

Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation in accordance with resident rights and HIPAA regulations.
- Provide direct support in memory care for residents experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist residents with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following health and safety protocols.
- Respect resident rights by promoting independence and privacy while providing care.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in home community care or a similar caregiving role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration practices and familiarity with resident rights is essential.
- Experience in memory care settings is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is advantageous but not required at the time of hire.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other caregivers and healthcare professionals.
