Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Day Time In-Home Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, home health, flexible schedule, and community care, with a genuine commitment to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients. during daytime hours shifts times and hours change per client between 7:00a - 7:00p Clients are located all over the Chapin area.
*Must be able to pass pre-employment Drug test.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure client health status is maintained.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking.
- Provide medication reminders and support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or memory care needs through specialized techniques and patience.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely when assisting with mobility or transfers.
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
- Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is optional; additional training in HIPAA compliance is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and transfers safely when assisting residents with mobility needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, family members, and healthcare teams.
