Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain iSeries RPGLE applications, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Analyze existing iSeries applications to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve iSeries application issues in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on the latest iSeries technologies and trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience developing iSeries RPGLE applications.
- Experience with iSeries development tools and environments (e.g., WDSC, RDi).
- Preferred: 10 or more years of experience as an RPG developer.
- Preferred: Experience in healthcare billing or pharmacy billing.
- Preferred: Experience with iSeries modernization projects, such as migrating applications to cloud platforms or using modern development methodologies.
- Preferred: Experience with iSeries performance tuning and optimization.
- Strong understanding of iSeries architecture, including hardware, operating systems, and databases.
- Proficiency in RPGLE programming language, including CL programming and SQL.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
