What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Stack Engineer position at Brightsmith?
Our client is pioneering real-time grid intelligence with a next-generation sensing and analytics platform. As they transition from prototype to production, they’re building a secure, scalable, and intuitive interface that empowers utilities to monitor, analyze, and act on live data from a cloud-based fiber optic sensing pipeline.
We’re seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to lead development of their customer-facing application—delivering a polished, professional-grade experience that meets the highest standards of usability, performance, and cybersecurity.
What You’ll Do
- Build user-facing applications: Design and implement a responsive, intuitive interface for utility operators and engineers.
- Develop secure back-end services: Architect APIs and services that interface with our cloud-based sensing and analytics pipeline.
- Visualize real-time data: Integrate live and historical visualizations (e.g., sag, temperature, strain, alerts) using modern frameworks.
- Collaborate on UX: Work with designers and product leads to translate utility workflows into clean, intuitive experiences.
- Ensure reliability and scalability: Deliver high-performance, fault-tolerant systems across multi-tenant environments.
- Prioritize cybersecurity: Apply secure coding practices, authentication/authorization standards, and compliance best practices.
