JOB SUMMARY:
Provides general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and grounds.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs all general cleaning in buildings, restrooms, hallways, common areas, offices, parking lot and warehouse.
- Window cleaning inside and outside.
- Replaces lamps as needed.
- Vacuums and dusts all areas as needed.
- Empty recycling bins as needed.
- Inventories and orders cleaning supplies.
- Ability to maintain reliable, predictable and reasonable
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license from state of residence.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must have general knowledge of organization's policies and procedures.
- Must possess the ability to communicate clearly and receive instructions.
- Possess mechanical skills necessary to perform simple maintenance on cleaning equipment and other furniture and equipment.
- Must have general knowledge of the use of cleaning supplies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires frequent physical activity necessary to perform functions described above. Requires occasional lifting up to 48 pounds. Requires constant standing, walking, reaching, handling, vision and depth perception. Must be able to lift up to 48 lbs. Requires frequent push/pull, crouching/squatting, twisting and turning. Machine operation control requires constant simple grasp. Must be able to climb ladders up to eight feet high. Machine control operation requires constant arm/hand use and simple and firm grasp.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must work out of doors and in inclement weather to perform cleaning, sweeping, trash disposal, etc. May be exposed to dust, cleaning chemicals and paint and other fumes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One to two years' prior experience in performing related tasks.
- Commercial cleaning experience a plus.
