The Doula II provides culturally sensitive support and training using program curriculum to assist at-risk women in early stages of pregnancy to heal from their own trauma and prepare to become mothers. As a Doula II, you will work collaboratively with the Family Support Services team to ensure quality, comprehensive care while creating a service plan for each participant, and then assist in establishing and completing goals. You will maintain a caseload of 10 participants, 2 of which additional documentation will be required for Medicaid billing - complete case notes and other required documentation of services. As a Doula II, you will attend births as requested by the mother and participate in the on-call system and provide back up to traditional doulas as required by the program.

Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or human service field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Doula training required; DONA preferred.
- Association for Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health training required within 18 months of hire.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A minimum of two years of experience working with children and families required.
- A minimum of one year of doula experience preferred.
- Ability to attend in-person family visits and meetings in the Rockford, IL area required.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish preferred.
- Provide regular home visits and contact with participants to provide mental health support and healing through Doula services, as well as information and resources to prepare the parent to become a mother and bond with her unborn child.
- Present and facilitate the agency’s community-based Doula curriculum with participant to facilitate self-awareness, address current mental health challenges, develop methods to deal with stress, become empowered to become a mother and form a close bond with their unborn child(ren).
- Complete assessments for new participants.
- Assist participants to establish goals and create a plan to accomplish those goals.
- Refer participants to community mental health providers and other resources, as needed as well as develop aftercare service plans with each participant.
- May attend births with or without the traditional Doula as requested by the mother.
- Compensation: Hourly: Range is between $22.35-$23.35/hour; offers are commensurate with experience and bilingual candidates may receive additional compensation. The salary range provided represents our current estimate for this role at the time of posting and is subject to change. The final salary will be determined based on a range of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's relevant experience, education, qualifications, skills, certifications, and alignment with organizational needs. - Location: Home office is at our Rockford location, occasional work from home opportunities.
