Schedule: Full-time and part-time positions available (typically Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM depending on program needs)
Program Overview
BrightPoint Wellness Center is seeking compassionate, energetic, and dependable individuals to join our team as Summer Program Support Workers for our Summer Experience Program. This program provides a safe, structured, and engaging environment for children and youth through academic enrichment, recreation, arts, wellness activities, and social skill development.
Support Workers play a vital role in helping maintain a positive, supportive, and well-organized program environment where youth can learn, grow, and build confidence.

Position Summary
The Summer Program Support Worker assists with the daily operations of youth programming by providing structured supervision, facilitating activities, and supporting participants throughout the program day. Staff work collaboratively with program leaders to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all youth.
Support Workers report directly to the assigned Group Lead Staff(Clinicians they will be helping) and follow their guidance to maintain safety, structure, and positive engagement among participants.
Key Responsibilities
Youth Supervision & Safety
- Provide active supervision of children and youth during program activities
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all participants
- Ensure youth follow program rules and behavioral expectations
- Monitor youth behavior and report safety concerns to supervisory staff
Program Activity Support
Assist with facilitating structured program activities including:
- academic enrichment
- recreation
- arts and creative activities
- wellness and social engagement
- Support smooth transitions between program activities
- Encourage youth participation and engagement in programming
Youth Development Support
- Reinforce positive behaviors and social skills
- Support youth in developing emotional regulation and problem-solving skills
- Provide encouragement and guidance during group activities and peer interaction
Program Operations Support
- Assist with mealtimes, outdoor play, and classroom transitions
- Support lead staff with daily program logistics
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth program flow
Observation & Reporting
- Observe participant behavior, engagement, and participation
- Document concerns or behavioral incidents when necessary
- Communicate relevant observations to program leadership
Role Boundaries (Important)
This role provides structured youth supervision and support services, but does not provide clinical or therapeutic services.
Support Workers do not:
- Provide therapy
- Diagnose mental health conditions
- Interpret clinical behavior
- Provide clinical recommendations
All clinical concerns must be referred to the appropriate clinical leadership or program supervisors.
Qualifications
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with children or youth in:
- educational programs
- summer camps
- recreational programs
- youth development programs
- after-school programs
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication skills

- Ability to follow direction from supervisory staff
- Patience, reliability, and professionalism
Additional Requirements
- CPR / First Aid certification preferred.
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced youth program environment
