Job Title: Design Engineer II – Crushing Equipment

Job Summary
The Design Engineer II plays a critical role in the design, development, and improvement of custom crushing equipment used in the aggregate and bulk material processing industry. This position supports product engineering from concept through manufacturing, including design analysis, prototyping, testing, and cross-functional collaboration. The role offers hands-on engineering ownership throughout the product lifecycle with strong impact on product performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute product design and development activities for crushing equipment.
- Design, model, and detail components and assemblies for cone crushers, jaw crushers, impact crushers, and related equipment.
- Perform engineering analyses, including stress, structural, and performance evaluations.
- Create accurate drawings, 3D models, and bills of material (BOM) for manufacturing.
- Lead and contribute to product development projects from concept through release.
- Conduct testing and prototyping of new designs; analyze test results and recommend improvements.
- Evaluate, validate, and implement engineering design changes.
- Provide technical support to sales, service, and production teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups including manufacturing, quality, and product management.
- Perform equipment commissioning or troubleshooting support as needed.
- Execute additional engineering duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience designing crushing equipment (cone crushers, jaw crushers, impact crushers) strongly preferred.
- Hands-on field experience with equipment commissioning and troubleshooting preferred.
- Proficiency with engineering analysis and FEA tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and heavy equipment design.
- Ability to create detailed technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
