Key Responsibilities
- Design and review P&IDs, process descriptions, and documentation required for process automation.
- Create and maintain control system documentation, including instrument indexes, specification sheets, cause-and-effect matrices, I/O mapping, and control narratives.
- Generate complete process control design packages in accordance with Engineering Project Guidelines and industry best practices.
- Design, configure, and program industrial control systems (DCS/PLC).
- Define and coordinate physical locations for instruments, control valves, and I/O cabinets.
- Design, analyze, and troubleshoot Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production staff to understand process needs and specify/procure instrumentation and control components.
- Work with IT and OT teams to design and implement process control networks.
- Utilize historical process and alarm data to identify and troubleshoot process issues.
- Administer DCS/PLC software systems, ensuring cybersecurity, user access control, and backup/recovery strategies.
- Monitor and maintain DCS/PLC hardware health using industry-standard tools.
- Perform PID loop tuning using manual or software-based methods.
- Support startup and commissioning activities, including servers, switches, software, and field devices.
- Implement and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Modbus TCP/IP, Fieldbus, and DeviceNet.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and ISO quality systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial control system design and programming.
- Proficient in DCS and PLC systems design and configuration.
- Experience with digital motor control and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Preferred experience with DeltaV and Allen-Bradley control platforms.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, instrumentation, and process control principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
