What are the responsibilities and job description for the Allocator position at Brighton?
The Allocator plays a critical role in ensuring product is delivered to the right stores, in the right quantities, at the right time. Partnering closely with the Head of Planning Allocation, as well as GMM, Buying and Planning team members, this role focuses on daily replenishment, store-level execution, and inventory optimizationto maximize sales and productivity at the style and category level.
Key Responsibilities
Own daily replenishmentby store and SKU, using sales and inventory performance to maximize in-stock position and selling opportunity
Analyze store and style-level performance to identify opportunities to drive sales, improve turns, and rebalance inventory
Execute initial product allocationsby store and SKU, aligned with assortment strategy, store volume, and capacity
Create and maintain store volume indexesto support allocation and replenishment decisions
Monitor weeks of supply, sales-to-stock, and SKU performance to recommend transfers, consolidations, or reallocations
Perform store analysis and size selling analysis to forecast future inventory needs
Partner with the Head of Planning Allocation, GMM and Buyer to translate business strategy into actionable allocation execution
Track buy plans and receipts to ensure timely distribution of product and communicate inventory risks or opportunities
Recommend store product transfers and consolidations to maximize sales
Collaborate cross-functionally to support merchandising strategies, floorsets, and key business initiatives
Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to act quickly on data
Highly organized, self motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Excel with a solid understanding of retail math and inventory concepts
Excellent communication skills and comfort partnering cross-functionally
2–4 years of experience in allocation, planning, or a related retail role preferred
Bachelors’ degree preferred or FIDM degree preferred
