Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented. Project Manager to support the planning and execution of public construction projects. This role involves assisting with project coordination, documentation, and field support for work at NYC SCA, NYCHA NYC Parks and DOT Jobs. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
·Coordinating construction projects from pre-construction to completion.
·Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
·Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliveries.
·Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to support day-to-day operations.
·Organize and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, permits, and logs.
·Prepare and edit documents such as change orders, meeting minutes, and reports using Excel and PDF editing tools.
·Conduct occasional site visits to track project progress and assist in field coordination.
·Collaborate with architects and engineers on design changes and clarifications.
·Support procurement efforts and invoice tracking.
Qualifications:
·At least 3 years of experience in construction project support.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PDF editing software (e.g., Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat).
·Bidding process
·Familiarity with AutoCAD is big plus.
·Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
·Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
·Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is welcome.
