Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children.
- Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to schedules while maintaining high standards of behavior management.
- Engage in ongoing lesson planning that aligns with childhood development milestones and educational standards.
- Support children with special education needs and participate in early intervention strategies to promote inclusive learning experiences.
- Foster open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments, standardized testing results, and individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices for childcare and classroom management.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or private schools is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and effective behavior management techniques.
- Experience with curriculum development across various subjects including literacy, math, physical education, and special education programs.
- Familiarity with classroom management tools and lesson planning software is advantageous.
- Proven ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and needs, including those requiring early intervention or special education support.
- Strong communication skills essential for building positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
- Previous experience in Montessori or other specialized early childhood education methods is a plus.
