Status: Full-Time- Early Morning Shift
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Dietary Aide to join our nursing center team. The Dietary Aide plays an important role in providing nutritious meals and a pleasant dining experience for our residents while supporting dietary staff in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen and dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and meal service to residents
- Serve meals in accordance with residents’ dietary needs and physician-ordered diets
- Ensure proper portioning and presentation of food
- Assist residents as needed during meals with courtesy and respect
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and infection control guidelines
- Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, and food service areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Stock supplies and assist with inventory as needed
- Work cooperatively with dietary staff, nursing, and leadership
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous dietary or food service experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
- Knowledge of special diets (mechanical soft, pureed, diabetic, etc.) preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
