What are the responsibilities and job description for the Photonics Fabrication Engineer position at Brightlight Photonics?
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for day to day fabrication operations in:
- Cleanrooms (Harvard CNS, MIT.Nano, Cornell CNF)
- Brightlight Laboratory (photonic material sputtering, optical and physical metrology)
- Develop novel fabrication recipes
- Maintain and run existing processes
- Participate in collaborative R&D projects with academic and industry partners, attend and present at conferences.
- Opportunities to take on new leadership roles as our fabrication team grows.
Required Qualifications
- Significant cleanroom experience with demonstrable outcomes
- Experience with optics/photonics
Preferred Qualifications
- Degrees:
- PhD can fill senior fabrication engineer
- Bachelors/Masters can fill fabrication engineer
- Experience with photonic fabrication and development
