- Hourly pay rate is $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or certifications in records management, legal studies, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Prior experience in an administrative role, particularly with document management or filing systems, is preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Familiarity with legal or government filing systems is a plus.
Job Responsibilities For The Sorting Clerk
- Accurately file, retrieve, sort and organize documents using internal systems.
- Data Entry & Updates: Ensure that all data related to documents is accurate, updated, and consistent with the organization's records management protocols.
- Document Processing: Prepare and submit documents for filing as required by the organization's workflows, or in response to requests from internal or external stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure that all filing activities comply with legal and organizational requirements, including confidentiality, security, and document retention policies.
- Records Maintenance: Archive records systematically and assist in the retrieval of records for audits, legal requests, or departmental use.
- Quality Control: Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards before filing, addressing any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with various departments and external partners (e.g., courts, government agencies) to ensure smooth e-filing processes.
- Customer Service: Assist employees and clients in locating and retrieving filed documents as necessary.
- Troubleshooting: Address and resolve any issues related to the filing system, escalating problems to technical support or management when necessary.
