Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in Lebanon, NJ! **Schedule: Monday - Friday 4:15p. - 6:15p - for a 15 year old**
Duties
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and hygiene routines, fostering independence and self-care skills
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans
- Implement individualized ABA therapy protocols designed for children with autism spectrum disorders, ensuring consistency and fidelity to treatment plans
- Support teaching and behavior management strategies aligned with the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families and caregivers to provide updates on progress, reinforce strategies at home, and address questions or concerns
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, client records, and adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance
- Participate in training sessions on medical terminology, medical records management, and behavioral health best practices to enhance your skills in direct behavioral therapy
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or clinical settings is highly preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder is a strong plus
- Home-based behavioral experience or school experience supporting children with special needs is desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation, and HIPAA compliance is beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to implement ABA therapy protocols accurately and ethically in diverse settings
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
