Job Summary
As a Mental Health Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting youth with mental health needs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide direct care, therapeutic support, and interventions in a structured mental health setting.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Provide direct support and care to youth with mental health disorders
- Assist with crisis intervention and apply de-escalation techniques as needed
- Facilitate group therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed clinician
- Support youth with activities of daily living and therapeutic programming
- Accurately document client interactions, behaviors, and progress notes
- Collaborate with clinical and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care
Skills & Qualifications (including but not limited to)
- Experience providing direct support to youth with mental health conditions
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and behavioral management strategies
- Familiarity with group therapy practices and therapeutic techniques
- Understanding of residential or structured mental health care environments
- Ability to provide culturally competent care to diverse populations
- Strong skills in adolescent counseling and supportive interventions
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing
Licensure Requirements
Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP):
Must meet the requirements for one of the following disciplines:
- Psychologist
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
Candidates must:
- Hold a graduate degree or higher in Counseling or a related field
- Possess a valid, active license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or applicable licensing body
Waivered/Registered Mental Health Professional:
Must be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or appropriate governing body as one of the following:
- Registered Psychologist
- Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW)
- Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)
- Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC)
Candidates must:
- Hold a graduate degree or higher in Counseling or a related field
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Salary : $40 - $44
