Overview
The Child Care Assistant Director plays a vital role in supporting the overall management and operation of our child care facility. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and have a desire to foster a nurturing and educational environment for children. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director to ensure compliance with regulations, implement educational programs, and maintain high standards of care. The candidate must have an associate degree or higher to apply for this position.
Duties
- Assist in the daily management of the child care center, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for children and families.
- Support the development and implementation of educational programs that meet the needs of all students.
- Collaborate with teachers to provide guidance and resources for effective classroom management and curriculum delivery.
- Monitor compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements, ensuring that all policies are adhered to.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, staff, and the community to promote an inclusive atmosphere.
- Conduct regular assessments of student progress and provide feedback to educators on best practices.
- Participate in staff training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in education administration.
- Required to model and train staff daily in the classroom.
- Child and Adult Care Food Program.
- Monitor compliance Keystone Star.
- Report only to the director and owner.
Skills
- Strong background in education administration, with experience working with students in various capacities.
- Proven ability to educate and mentor staff members in early childhood education practices.
- Experience in higher education teaching or related fields is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A passion for fostering a positive learning environment that encourages growth and development among children.
- Understanding PA learning standards.
- Understand Keystone Stars standards.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
