Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging activities that promote literacy, math, and social skills. This role requires strong communication skills, effective classroom management, and a solid understanding of childhood development principles.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages exploration and curiosity.
- Utilize Montessori methods to support individualized learning experiences.
- Assist the lead teacher in teaching foundational literacy and math skills through activities and play.
- Assist the lead teacher in managing classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere for all students.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and development.
- Assist the lead teacher with assessing children's progress in various developmental areas and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Experience working in a preschool or early childhood education setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with Montessori teaching methods is a plus.
- Passion for educating young children and fostering their growth in a supportive environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
