What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Brighter Dreams Corp?
A Direct care Provider Supports individuals with disabilities, chronic illness, or other special needs in their daily living activities. The goal is to promote independence ,dignity, safety, and overall quality of life in a home and in the community - based setting.
Assist Individuals with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Support with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed
- Assist with medication reminders (as permitted by state guidelines)
- Implement and follow individualized service plans and behavior support plans
- Provide life skills training, including budgeting, communication, and social interaction and safety skills.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment
- Transport individuals to appointments, community outings, and activities (if applicable)
- Monitor and document changes in health, behavior, and progress
- Maintain accurate and timely case notes and service documentation
- Follow all state regulations, agency policies, and HIPAA confidentiality standards
- Report any incidents, abuse, neglect, or safety concerns immediately
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs (preferred)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if transportation is required)
- Ability to pass background screening (Level II, if applicable in Florida)
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills

- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
Compensation:
- Hourly wage based on experience and the clients need

CPR and First Aid, Requirments for all waiver providers ,Hippa is every year ,Zero tolerance every three years, Direct care core competencies course ,Hiv Blood borne Pathogens 101 and a required 4 hour training every year.
Pay: $17.00 per hour
