Duties
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients in meal preparation and dietary needs.
- Assist with medication management and monitoring vital signs as needed.
- Facilitate social interactions and community involvement to promote engagement.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's specific needs.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients at all times.
- Document daily activities, progress, and any changes in client condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in senior care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic health assessments.
- Familiarity with home care practices, including meal preparation and hygiene assistance.
- Understanding of dementia care strategies and hospice care principles.
- Certification in CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
