Position Overview
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you’ll play a vital role in assessing and managing the mental health needs of residents in long-term care settings. You’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compassionate, effective care.
Your Responsibilities:
✅ Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and physical assessments
✅ Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans
✅ Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
✅ Collaborate with facility staff, therapists, and consulting psychiatrists
✅ Provide expert mental health care tailored to geriatric and subacute populations
Qualifications:
MSN in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
Current DEA registration and experience with psychotropic medication management
Passion for serving aging and vulnerable populations in residential care settings
